FMAT recognises that the safe recruitment of its staff in the Trust is essential to safeguard the children in attendance. It is our duty to prevent unsuitable people from working with children – ensuring we practice safe recruitment in checking the suitability of staff and volunteers who work with children.
Safer practice in recruitment means thinking about and including issues relating to child protection and safeguarding, promoting the welfare of children at every stage of the process and for all people being recruited.听听
For all posts, enquiries will be made with previous employers about whether a safeguarding concern has been raised against you.
Why volunteer for us?
FMAT is governed by the Board of Directors, a group of individuals who are dedicated to volunteering their professional expertise and time to support the Trust.
The Trust are always interested in discussing in further detail the opportunity for the right听person to make a real difference to the outcomes听and life chances of young people across听Birmingham and Solihull, by joining our Governance Team as an FMAT Director or Associate.听 These roles provide an opportunity听to give something back to the local community听and use and develop your own skills in a board or local level听environment.听
We welcome individuals willing听to commit some of their time and apply their听skills and experience to being a Director/Associate in our Multi-Academy Trust.听
FMAT has four secondary academies and
one primary academy, delivering education
to over 4000 students in total. We serve
students from a wide range of backgrounds
and our academies have higher-than-average听proportions of students from disadvantaged听homes and with special educational needs. We听firmly believe that every student has the right听to realise their full potential, and to do that they听need to experience a high-quality education in
a supportive environment to help them achieve听their career aspirations and live their lives to the听full.
